Monetary Donations

“I don’t believe in charity. I believe in solidarity. Charity is so vertical. It goes from the top to the bottom. Solidarity is horizontal. It respects the other person. I have a lot to learn from other people.” ― Eduardo Galeano

There are so many ways to donate your time, resources, and labor to the struggle for liberation. From donating directly to another individual in need, to giving your labor to a project. Chehalis River Mutual Aid Network has multiple donation sites throughout the community where items can be dropped for redistribution through our network and affiliates. We maintain a list of needs gathered from observation and conversation with our local communities. We also accept monetary donations for supplies and redistribution. We strive for maximum transparency of how we use these funds, although there are certain instances where specific personal information will not be released when redistributing money to vulnerable populations.

Chehalis River Mutual Aid Network is a bottom-up, people powered, all volunteer network supporting impacted communities, especially those most marginalized, during crises. We act without bureaucracy or red tape and our flexible approach is able to make every dollar stretch to make the most positive impact in responding to the self-determined needs of disaster survivors. The principle of “solidarity, not charity” means that actions are based on the stated needs of the people themselves, working cooperatively rather than administering from above. Please consider donating generously in order to bring effective disaster relief based on the principles of solidarity, mutual aid, and autonomous direct action to even more communities impacted by disaster.

Chehalis River Mutual Aid Network is fiscally sponsored by The Hack Foundation (d.b.a. Hack Club), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN:81-2908499).
